The Secure Pass, formerly known as U-Token, is a customized mobile token offered by UBA. It serves the purpose of authorizing transactions and managing identity across UBA's virtual channels. These channels include the Internet Banking solution, previously known as U-Direct, and the Mobile Banking solution, formerly known as U-Mobile. Furthermore, it can be used for authorizing transactions of higher limits on other channels as well.
The development of the Secure Pass aligns with the bank's do-it-yourself model, allowing existing users of UBA's Internet banking solution to self-activate the token. This eliminates the need to visit a UBA banking hall for activation.
